Proceeds will benefit the Rent Party Back Pack Pals, Ryan Burbank Fundraiser & Maplewood Lions Charities
During the school year, the Rent Part Pantry Back Pack Pals program (more info) provides two days worth of food for the weekend to feed insecure kids in our community. It bridges the gap in nutrition left for Maplewood & South Orange kids who qualify for subsidized school lunches, but can not afford sustenance over the weekend. Kindly donate packaged, non-perishable food which can be dropped off during packet pickup and on race day -- non-nut breakfast bars would be ideal!
Ryan is an 18 year old Maplewood Resident who became paralyzed from the chest down in a pool accident this past July. He and his family will be incurring substantial expenses including necessary modifications to their home (more info).

You are invited to come join us. Founded in 1925 as part of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service organization, our group in Maplewood consists of community-minded women and men who volunteer to help those less fortunate. Lions have no political or religious affiliation and each Club autonomously decides what projects to support fulfilling our motto, "We Serve."
We have many funfilled and successful events and projects including the Maplewood in Motion 5K Run in October and Great Chefs Night in May.
